Here at Burbage Meats we have been in business in America since the early 1900's. The late William Burbage would go door to door selling meat. In 1960 it was up to William Burbage Jr. to take it over. He decided to start the business with a small concrete slab outside the house and in the kitchen with his wife Annie. They would cook the country pudding on the stove and link the sausage on the table. Their three sons would also help in the business. As business grew they built a small building to hold all the meat that they had orders for. As the years went by the business grew and so did the building. We specialize in the custom orders of your meat and also provide the low-country with fresh local beef and pork. Our local beef that we have been using for the past 20 years comes from Shuman Farms in Reevesville, SC. Our local pork comes from Rabon Livestock in Loris SC or our local stockyards. We are a state inspected plant that meets or exceeds the standards that the USDA puts into place. We deliver to areas in the tri-county and a little further if needed.
